Central Library Management

Central Library Management System: Our project Library management system  would be a perfect project to maintain and manage the libraries as our software can be used in all kinds of big and small libraries.Libraries as known has large collection of books so it is must to have details and track of all the books.Our software contains all information of books such as author,name and box numbers where the books are stored .Our system provides an option of “classification”, this classification of books is more important in maintaing a library.Books can be easily identified by this classification process.

User can just type the name of book and get all the details in one click. Our project has an option to enter details of visitor with check in and check out time options. This software has secure login process protected with user name and passwords and only authorized person can use our software. Details of visitor such as book borrowed date and book submission date is enabled in software, as the book submission date is closer “warning message”  appears to the user reminding the deadline date. Special option is available to the membership of library in our software too by entering details of member with option of taking photo of members for security purpose. Addition of new books ,updation and deletion is available.

Our Software have SMS service to the members of library regarding renewal of membership and other informations.It also has mail service making user easy to send mails to book companies and stores.It is very important to the librarian to keep an eye on the visitors so we have provided an new option of playing an video in our software recorded by CCTV ,this option helps user to maintain both managing library works  and also have an eye on the visitors which reduces a work and human efforts.

Project title:

The project Network Based Library Management System Facilitates the more security using the Java technologies. The aim of the research work is to develop Network Based Library Management System for issuing BOOKS to students, teachers, by using existing Campus Network infrastructure By Using Advance Technology and make the library system more effective and efficient.

Problem Statement:

Network Based Library Management System is used to provide a medium for the libraries to computerize their entire functioning and would contribute as a first step in digitalizing their libraries. Everything in this project works under networking. The server pc has the entire records of the books. All pc’s are connected to the server. Even if the required information was found it was usually at cost of much valuable time. This LAN based Library management is would not only simplify this process but also speedup the entire functioning of the library. It will also contribute towards increasing the efficiency of the libraries a whole, right from the data entry to maintaining the historical records, student records, book  records, etc. It is to provide user or the library members or agents to the opportunity to not only search through the books online but to reserve books that are issued by other users and also request newer books and latest syllabus books.

Advantages of this project:

The Library in charge maintaining library records manually.
But this software can easily put data of all faculties, students quickly with the security.
A number of thousands books, Magazines and research papers can be issued and managed by this software.
